Do you ever feel like you’re stuck? Not just bored, but trapped?
It might be at your job. Maybe it’s not challenging you to develop. Maybe you’ve accomplished what you set out to do. Maybe it’s your daily routine. You get up, head to work, come home, watch TV, and then head to bed.
Maybe it’s something more critical than that.
An important relationship. An addiction.
I’ve had a couple of really good conversations with a friend of mine recently because I’ve been feeling stuck.
I’ve really enjoyed my role as the Worship Director at Westbrook. I’ve seen a lot of growth and improvement over my 4 years here. I’ve also developed some relationships that I deeply appreciate. When I’m not at Westbrook, I teach guitar to students around the Twin Cities. I absolutely love the one-on-one time I get with students. I also value the relationships I get to build with their families.
Let’s get back to that conversation with my friend. He gave me one GREAT piece of advice.
Do something. It can be anything…small or big. Just do something.
So that’s my challenge to you. If you’re feeling stuck, do something. Maybe it’s obvious…right in front of you. Maybe you’re just scared to step into it. Maybe it’s simply a hobby you’ve never tried before that will challenge you in new ways.
Whatever it is, I hope that you take that step and…
Make A Move.
