I moved to Minnesota to attend Bethel Seminary right after I graduated from the University of Missouri. Since then, I have worked in a number of churches doing student ministry, small groups, missions and discipleship. I met my wife, Julie in Minnesota and we have been married 29 years. We have two adult children, Josh and Jessica. I love to read all kinds of books and I’m a big sports fan. I love the Kansas City Royals and have played fantasy football with my son for 18 years. I have seen over the years that when a church community can be welcoming and accepting, it creates a powerful environment for honesty and change. I have always had a passion and belief that when church is done right, it is the greatest organization in the world.

We arrived in our mini-van in 2010 and despite the extreme temperatures, LOVE it here! My Background: I grew up on a lone mountain, just six miles from the beach in Newport, Oregon. After graduating from Northwest Nazarene University with a B.S. in Business Administration/Management, I served in ministry in China for four years, moved to Vancouver, B.C., then to Portland, Oregon and eventually, we found ourselves in Minnesota. Chaska is our home now and Westbrook Community Church has become our extended family. I have three children: Elina, Addison, and MeiLan. We all agree that Westbrook is a special place to belong to. We hope that you feel that sense of belonging here as well.

I came to Minnesota in 2001 to attend Bethel University and have been here ever since. For the last 10 years I’ve been helping lead worship around the Twin Cities and began at Westbrook in September of 2013. My wife, Jensine, and I moved to Chaska this past summer and have enjoyed being in the community that we’re ministering in. I also teach guitar, something I’ve really enjoyed getting more deeply involved in. We love to camp, fish, travel, watch random TV series on Netflix, and build sincere, authentic relationships. Authenticity is such a tough thing to find today, but I hope that you find it at Westbrook.

We came to MN in 2002 because of a job transfer for my husband, Tom. We’ve been married since 1982. I have 2 sons, Bryan and Jason and a beautiful grandson, Jackson. I have been a member of Westbrook since the beginning when it was planted. I have served on the Hospitality Team, Prayer Team and the Finance Team. In addition to being the part-time Accounting Associate, I also work at the Chaska Target on the price change team. The most important thing we did when we joined Westbrook was to get plugged into being volunteers and getting involved in small groups. It made us feel really connected to our community. When not working, I love traveling to Colorado to visit my grandson, watching Steeler football games and penguin hockey. Philipians 1:9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.
